45th European Senior Championships

45th European Senior Championships, Greece (Athens) 7,8,9 May 2010

The 45th European Senior Championships started on 7th May in Athens, Greece. In the event 40 European countries will be participating till next 9th May, 475 athletes will take part in the Competition.

The Opening Ceremony took place at the venue consisting of a very spectacular show, introduced by the speech of EKF President, Mr. Antonio Espinós and Mr. Alekos Voulgaris, who thanked and congratulated the athletes and the audience for making this sport fantastic and spectacular.

It was followed by some Greek typical dancers and several Martial Arts exhibitions performed by children and experts on the Martial Arts. This first day of the Competition ran very smoothly and everybody enjoyed this event as expected considering the excellent organization carried out by the Hellenic Karate Federation.
